16 New FIAT Models Destined for U.S. Soil by 2016

While Italian automaker FIAT mainly sells variations of its 500 city car here in the United States, there are rumors swirling that its lineup could grow substantially by 2016. This is exciting news for anyone who's ever had the pleasure of test driving a new FIAT model at 3031 Center Rd in Brunswick.

And for those who haven't? it's even better news. Brunswick Auto Mart knows there are more than a few drivers from the greater Brunswick area who are interested in something a bit bigger than a city car, and the 16 models in question are thought to vary in size and shape. In other words, FIAT knows variety is the spice of life.

This begs the question of what models we can expect to see. Unfortunately, details regarding specific have yet to surface. Other than FIAT CEO Sergio Marchionne's official announcement to investors, all we have to go on is the company's European lineup for a potential preview of things to come in the near future.

Some speculate that the larger FIAT Panda would be a good fit for the U.S. market. It bears many similarities to the 500, but offers space for more passengers. Others, meanwhile, say that the Bravo or Freemont might serve as a nice change of pace in terms of overall design. Of course, given the number that Marchionne offered up, it might be easier to guess which models won't make it over.

In fact, there aren't even 16 models offered by the FIAT brand in Europe. This could mean that we'll see some new models surface, similar to the 500 Abarth. It could also mean FIAT might offer vehicles from the Alfa Romeo lineup as well.

Whatever the case may be, you can count on Brunswick Auto Mart to relay further updates regarding this story via our FIAT blog.
