Mazda Leads Industry in Fuel Efficiency According to EPA Report

Here at Brunswick Mazda, we already know our cars are among the best in the industry when it comes to fuel efficiency and performance, but it's still nice to see third party validation.

For example, yesterday we learned that, in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) most recent Light Duty Fuel Economy Trends report, Mazda was noted as having the highest fleet-wide fuel economy in the industry, with a rating of more than 29 mpg. Our favorite automaker also led the industry in terms of carbon emissions, with an industry low score of 328.

Jim O’Sullivan, president and CEO, Mazda North American Operations, spoke on the significance of the achievement, saying: "At Mazda, Driving Matters and so does fuel economy. Using SKYACTIV Technology, Mazda has been able to achieve class-leading fuel efficiency in nearly every segment it competes in. This achievement verifies that Mazda has evolved to offer what others can’t, vehicles that are of high-quality, great looking, fun-to-drive and fuel efficient.“

This recognition from the EPA, is a fitting follow-up to this past November, when U.S. News and World Report, named Mazda the 2016 Best Car Brand.
